Dawn Watkins

Celebrating 20 years | University Police

Dawn started in 2003 in the basement of H.S. Moore as the Records Coordinator. In 2018, she acquired the additional responsibility of Property and Evidence. Dawn has developed all her technical computer hardware and software skills through self-teaching.

Dawn was born and raised and resides in Sandy Ridge, Stokes County, NC, where she is the mother of 3 cats, one dog, five chickens, and one rooster.

One of her biggest sources of pride is her daughter Carson. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Pfeiffer University and works at Coastal Carolina Neuropsychiatric Center.

In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as horseback riding, kayaking, camping, fishing, four-wheeling, and soaking up the sun by bodies of water during the summer. One of her hobbies is woodworking, and she enjoys spending time with her family.

During her 20 years at Wake Forest, she has fostered meaningful relationships with colleagues, cherished memories, and had opportunities to grow and travel. Congratulations, Dawn.
