A Spooktacular Weekend Ahead

Dear Students,

It’s a spirited time to be a Demon Deacon! With our football team ranked No. 14 in the nation, there’s plenty to celebrate at Wake Forest, and this weekend promises to be one to remember!

From Friday’s inauguration of President Rodriguez and the live Bussin’ With the Boys and Josh Pate show to Saturday’s ACC Huddle broadcast and football matchup against UVA, our campus will be buzzing with excitement. And with Halloween in the mix, you’re encouraged to get into the spirit and wear your costumes to athletic events throughout the weekend!

With all the excitement surrounding Saturday’s game, I encourage everyone to make responsible choices and to look out for one another as you celebrate, particularly when it comes to alcohol. We want to keep our community safe. We strongly discourage high-risk drinking behaviors, including the “Senior Fifth” custom, that put you and your friends at risk. If you or someone you know needs help, please use the resources in place. Whether you’re attending an event, cheering on the Deacs or spending time with friends, prioritizing safety, wellbeing and respect for those around you is part of what makes our Wake Forest community special.

Bring the energy, show your Deacon spirit and leave the scares to Halloween!

Cheer loud. Stay safe. Go Deacs!
